Ingredients

  • 500 g bread flour
  • 7 g bread machine yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 60 ml honey
  • 50 g white sugar

Directions

Step 1
Add the bread machine yeast to the bread machine pan.
Step 2
Add the honey, bread flour, egg, and white sugar to the bread machine pan.
Step 3
Set the bread machine to the dough cycle and start it.
Step 4
When the dough cycle is complete, remove the dough and place it on a floured surface.
Step 5
Divide the dough into three equal parts and braid them together to form a loaf.
Step 6
Place the braided loaf on a greased baking sheet and let it rise for about 30 minutes.
Step 7
Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
Step 8
Bake the loaf for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 9
Let the Challah cool on a wire rack before serving.
