Ingredients

  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 150 g butter
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp speculaas spices

Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, brown sugar, baking powder, speculaas spices, and salt.

Add the softened butter and milk to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
Step 3
Shape the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to a thickness of about 0.5 cm.
Step 6
Cut the dough into desired shapes using cookie cutters and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Step 7
Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
Step 8
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
