Ingredients

8 Servings
  • 30 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 g black pepper
  • 60 g butter
  • 480 ml chicken broth
  • 150 g french fried onions
  • 900 g fresh green beans
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 240 ml heavy cream
  • 225 g mushrooms
  • 5 g salt
  • 15 ml soy sauce

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
Step 2
Blanch green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.
Step 3
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add mushrooms and garlic, and cook until mushrooms are tender, about 5 minutes.
Step 4
Sprinkle flour over the mushroom mixture and stir to combine. Cook for 1 minute.
Step 5
Gradually whisk in chicken broth, followed by heavy cream. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
Step 6
Stir in soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Add the blanched green beans and half of the french fried onions, mixing until evenly coated.
Step 7
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
Step 8
Remove from oven, sprinkle the remaining french fried onions on top, and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown.
