Step 1
Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).

Blanch green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add mushrooms and garlic, and cook until mushrooms are tender, about 5 minutes.

Sprinkle flour over the mushroom mixture and stir to combine. Cook for 1 minute.

Gradually whisk in chicken broth, followed by heavy cream. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.

Stir in soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Add the blanched green beans and half of the french fried onions, mixing until evenly coated.

Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
Step 8
Remove from oven, sprinkle the remaining french fried onions on top, and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown.
