Ingredients

  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 60 g butter
  • 200 g cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 750 g hashbrowns
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 450 g sausage
  • 240 ml sour cream

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 2
In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Step 3
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, hashbrowns, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped onion, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, melted butter, salt, and black pepper.
Step 4
Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
Step 5
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
