  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 450 g broccoli florets
  • 30 g butter
  • 295 g condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 300 g cooked rice
  • 120 ml milk
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 240 g shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 2
In a large pot, bring water to a boil and cook the broccoli florets until tender, about 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Step 3
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Step 4
Stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup and milk into the skillet with the onions. Mix well.
Step 5
Add the cooked rice, cooked broccoli, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir until everything is well combined.
Step 6
Transfer the mixture into a greased 2.5-liter (2.6-quart) casserole dish.
Step 7
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
Step 8
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 9
Remove from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
