Ingredients

  • 500 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 60 g lard
  • 10 g salt
  • 200 ml water

Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Cut the lard into small pieces and add to the bowl. Mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Gradually add the water and knead until the dough is smooth and elastic.
Step 4
Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.
Step 5
On a lightly floured surface, roll each ball into a thin, round flatbread.
Step 6
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook each flatbread for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown spots appear.
Step 7
Serve warm or at room temperature, with your favorite fillings or toppings.
