Ingredients

  • 450 g broccoli rabe
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 240 ml water

Directions

Step 1
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Step 2
Add the broccoli rabe and cook for 2-3 minutes until bright green. Drain and set aside.
Step 3
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Step 4
Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until the garlic is fragrant and golden.
Step 5
Add the drained broccoli rabe to the skillet, tossing to coat with the garlic and oil.
Step 6
Add the salt and water, then cover the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes until the broccoli rabe is tender.
Step 7
Uncover and cook for another 2-3 minutes to evaporate any excess water.
Step 8
Serve hot as a side dish or a light main course.
