  • 1 bay leaf
  • 960 ml beef broth
  • 450 grams beef stew meat
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 carrots
  • 3 celery
  • 400 grams diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 60 grams tomato paste

Directions

Step 1
Add beef stew meat to the slow cooker.
Step 2
Add carrots, celery, potatoes, onion, and garlic to the slow cooker.
Step 3
Pour in beef broth and diced tomatoes.
Step 4
Stir in tomato paste, bay leaf, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme.
Step 5
Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the beef is tender and the vegetables are cooked through.
Step 6
Remove bay leaf before serving.
