Neeps and Tatties is a traditional Scottish dish made of mashed turnips (neeps) and potatoes (tatties). It's a perfect side dish for various meat dishes, particularly haggis.
Directions
Step 1
Peel and chop the turnips and potatoes into evenly sized chunks.
Step 2
Boil the turnips in salted water for about 10 minutes, then add the potatoes and continue boiling for another 15-20 minutes until both are tender.

Drain the vegetables and return them to the pot.

Add butter, milk, salt, and pepper to the pot.
Step 5
Mash everything together until smooth and well combined.

Serve hot as a side dish.
