Step 1
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook until tender-crisp, about 5 minutes.

Drain the green beans and transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain again and set aside.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced almonds and cook, stirring frequently, until they are golden brown and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for another 1 minute, stirring constantly to avoid burning.

Add the green beans to the skillet and toss to coat in the butter and almonds. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the green beans are heated through.
