Ingredients

  • 1 apple
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 30 grams brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1 onion
  • 900 grams pork loin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 700 grams sauerkraut
  • 240 ml water

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 2
In a large roasting pan, place the pork loin.
Step 3
Surround the pork with sauerkraut, apple slices, and chopped onion.
Step 4
Sprinkle brown sugar, caraway seeds, salt, and black pepper over the top.
Step 5
Pour water over the mixture.
Step 6
Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the pork is tender and fully cooked.
Step 7
Remove from oven, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing the pork.
Step 8
Serve the pork with sauerkraut mixture.
