  • 500 grams beef sirloin
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon ginger
  • 2 green onions
  • 60 ml mirin
  • 60 ml sake
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 120 ml soy sauce
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar until the sugar is dissolved.
Step 2
Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the mixture.
Step 3
Marinate the thinly sliced beef sirloin in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
Step 4
Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
Step 5
Add the marinated beef to the pan and cook until the beef is browned and cooked through.
Step 6
Pour the remaining marinade into the pan and let it simmer until slightly thickened.
Step 7
Serve the beef teriyaki over steamed rice, garnished with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
