  • 240 grams all-purpose flour
  • 226 grams butter
  • 24 cherries
  • 60 grams cornstarch
  • 120 grams powdered sugar
  • 5 milliliters vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and powdered sugar together until light and fluffy.
Step 3
Add the cornstarch and flour to the mixture, and continue to beat until well combined.
Step 4
Mix in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
Step 5
Drop spoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Step 6
Gently press a cherry half into the center of each cookie.
Step 7
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
Step 8
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
