Ingredients

  • 200 g brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 120 g pumpkin puree
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 480 ml water

Directions

Step 1
In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, and brown sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugars are dissolved.
Step 2
Add the pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice to the saucepan. Stir to combine.
Step 3
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 4
Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Step 5
Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove any solids.
Step 6
Let the syrup cool to room temperature, then transfer it to a clean bottle or jar for storage.
