This homemade grape jelly is a delicious and straightforward recipe that captures the fresh taste of Concord grapes. Perfect for spreading on toast or using in your favorite desserts.

Wash and stem the Concord grapes.

Place the grapes in a large pot and add the water.

Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cook until the grapes are soft and the skins have burst, about 10 minutes.

Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the skins and seeds. You should have about 4 cups of grape juice.

Return the grape juice to the pot and add the sugar and lemon juice.

Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently until the sugar is dissolved.

Continue to boil until the mixture reaches the gel stage, which is about 220°F (104°C). This can take about 20 minutes.
