  • 200 g brown sugar
  • 115 g butter
  • 60 g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 60 g flour
  • 120 ml milk
  • 100 g pecans
  • 1 g salt
  • 4 large sweet potatoes
  • 5 ml vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
Step 2
Peel and dice the sweet potatoes, then boil them in a large pot of water until tender, about 20 minutes.

Drain the sweet potatoes and place them in a large mixing bowl. Mash until smooth.
Step 4
Stir in the melted butter, brown sugar, beaten eggs, vanilla extract, milk, and salt until well combined.

Spread the sweet potato mixture evenly in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

In a separate bowl, combine the chopped pecans, flour, and cold butter pieces. Use a pastry cutter or your hands to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Sprinkle the pecan streusel evenly over the sweet potato mixture.
