  • 0.5 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Step 1
In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme.

Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the balsamic mixture over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Remove the chicken from the marinade and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Reserve the marinade.

Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center.

While the chicken is baking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer until the mixture has thickened and reduced by half, about 10 minutes.
Step 7
Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes. Drizzle the thickened balsamic glaze over the chicken before serving.
