  • 240 grams all-purpose flour
  • 6 apples
  • 100 grams brown sugar
  • 5 grams ground cinnamon
  • 15 ml lemon juice
  • 1 gram salt
  • 200 grams sugar
  • 230 grams unsalted butter

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the flour and sugar. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Step 3
Press half of the crumb mixture into a 9-inch pie plate to form the crust.
Step 4
In another bowl, combine the sliced apples, lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.
Step 5
Pour the apple mixture into the crust.
Step 6
Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the apple filling.
Step 7
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
Step 8
Allow the pie to cool before serving.
