A hearty and comforting casserole made with leftover ham and potatoes, perfect for a family dinner or potluck.
Directions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).

In a large pot, cook the potatoes in boiling water until tender but still firm, about 15 minutes. Drain and set aside.

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and sauté the chopped onion until tender.

Stir in flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.

Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and begins to boil. Remove from heat.

In a large bowl, combine the cooked potatoes, diced ham, and the sauce. Mix well.

Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese over the top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
