  • 120 g brown sugar
  • 1 kg chicken thighs
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 2 stalks green onions
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 240 ml soy sauce
  • 240 ml water

Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, water, garlic, and ginger. Mix well to dissolve the sugar.

Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and ensure they are well coated with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Place the marinated chicken thighs in a baking dish, skin side up, and pour the marinade over them.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the skin is crispy.
Step 6
Sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds over the chicken before serving.
