Ingredients

  • 2 green onions
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 400 g refried beans
  • 240 ml salsa
  • 300 g shredded cheese
  • 30 g taco seasoning
  • 6 tortillas
  • 120 ml water

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
Step 2
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Step 3
Add the taco seasoning and water to the beef. Simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the mixture thickens.
Step 4
In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of salsa on the bottom.
Step 5
Place two tortillas over the salsa. Spread half of the refried beans over the tortillas, then top with half of the beef mixture and a layer of cheese.
Step 6
Repeat the layers with the remaining tortillas, refried beans, beef mixture, and cheese.
Step 7
Top the final layer with salsa and a generous amount of cheese.
Step 8
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 9
Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
