A delicious and easy way to prepare bratwursts by simmering them in beer and then grilling them to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 710 ml beer
  • 6 bratwursts
  • 60 g butter
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 onions
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions

Step 1
In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the sliced onions and minced garlic to the pot, and cook until the onions are translucent, about 5 minutes.
Step 3
Pour in the beer and add the bratwursts. Ensure the bratwursts are fully submerged in the liquid.
Step 4
Increase the heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes.
Step 5
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Step 6
Remove the bratwursts from the pot and place them on the grill.
Step 7
Grill the bratwursts for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned and have grill marks.
Step 8
Serve the bratwursts with the cooked onions and any additional desired toppings.
