A sweet and tangy grape pie made with fresh Concord grapes. Perfect for a delightful dessert that captures the essence of autumn.
Directions
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
Step 2
Remove the skins from the grapes by squeezing each grape until the pulp pops out. Place the skins in a separate bowl.
Step 3
In a saucepan, cook the grape pulp over medium heat until soft, about 10 minutes. Pass the mixture through a sieve to remove the seeds.
Step 4
Combine the grape pulp, skins, sugar, flour, butter, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl. Stir well to combine.
Step 5
Pour the grape mixture into the prepared pie crust.
Step 6
Cover with the top crust, sealing the edges and cutting a few slits in the top to let steam escape.
Step 7
Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
Step 8
Allow the pie to cool before serving.
