  • 125 grams all-purpose flour
  • 2 grams baking powder
  • 115 grams butter
  • 30 grams cocoa powder
  • 225 grams cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 grams salt
  • 170 grams semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 200 grams sugar
  • 5 ml vanilla extract
  • 5 ml vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
Step 2
In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, 3/4 cup sugar, 1 egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth. Set aside.
Step 3
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and chocolate chips together until smooth. Let it cool slightly.
Step 4
In another large bowl, beat together 1 cup sugar, 2 eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until well combined.
Step 5
Stir the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until well combined.
Step 6
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the chocolate mixture, stirring until just combined.
Step 7
Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter. Drop the remaining brownie batter by spoonfuls over the cream cheese mixture. Swirl with a knife to create a marbled effect.
Step 8
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
