  • 30 g all-purpose flour
  • 5 fresh pears
  • 150 g granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 15 ml lemon juice
  • 2 pie crust
  • 30 g unsalted butter

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the sliced pears, granulated sugar, flour, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix well to coat the pears evenly.
Step 3
Place one of the pie crusts into a 9-inch pie dish. Pour the pear mixture into the crust, spreading it out evenly.
Step 4
Dot the top of the pear mixture with the small pieces of butter.
Step 5
Cover the pear mixture with the second pie crust. Trim and crimp the edges to seal. Cut a few small slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
Step 6
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
Step 7
Let the pie cool on a wire rack before serving.
