Ingredients

  • 6 cups bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1
Grease the inside of a slow cooker with some butter or cooking spray.
Step 2
Place the bread cubes in the slow cooker.
Step 3
In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
Step 4
Pour the milk mixture over the bread cubes, making sure all the bread is soaked.
Step 5
Drizzle the melted butter over the top.
Step 6
Cover and cook on low for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the pudding is set and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Step 7
Serve warm, optionally with a drizzle of caramel sauce or a scoop of ice cream.
