  • 400 ml coconut milk
  • 200 g jasmine rice
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 30 g shredded coconut
  • 50 g sugar
  • 240 ml water

Directions

Step 1
Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
Step 2
In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, coconut milk, water, sugar, and salt.
Step 3
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and cover the saucepan.
Step 4
Simmer for about 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed.
Step 5
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it sit, covered, for an additional 10 minutes.
Step 6
Fluff the rice with a fork and stir in the shredded coconut.
