Ingredients

  • 4 bell peppers
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 100 grams cheddar cheese
  • 200 grams cooked rice
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 400 grams tomato sauce

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Step 2
Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes inside.
Step 3
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 4
Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and cook until the onion is translucent.
Step 5
Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned.
Step 6
Stir in the cooked rice, tomato sauce, salt, black pepper, oregano, and basil. Cook until heated through.
Step 7
Stuff each bell pepper with the beef and rice mixture.
Step 8
Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and cover with foil.
Step 9
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
Step 10
Remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of each pepper, and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
