Ingredients

  • 240 ml chicken broth
  • 400 grams crushed tomatoes
  • 10 grams fresh basil
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 500 grams gnocchi
  • 450 grams Italian sausage
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 50 grams parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Step 1
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 2
Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Step 3
Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
Step 4
Add the Italian sausage to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
Step 5
Stir in the crushed tomatoes and chicken broth, and bring to a simmer.
Step 6
Add the gnocchi to the skillet and cook according to the package instructions, usually about 3-5 minutes.
Step 7
Season with salt and black pepper.
Step 8
Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese over the top and stir to combine.

Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
