Ingredients

  • 30 ml apple cider vinegar
  • 2.5 ml black pepper
  • 15 ml chili powder
  • 2.5 ml garlic powder
  • 2.5 ml ground allspice
  • 900 g ground beef
  • 5 ml ground cinnamon
  • 2.5 ml ground cloves
  • 5 ml ground cumin
  • 1 onion
  • 10 ml salt
  • 10 ml sugar
  • 425 ml tomato sauce
  • 15 ml unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1000 ml water
  • 15 ml Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Step 1
In a large pot, add the ground beef and water. Break the meat into small pieces using a spatula.
Step 2
Bring to a simmer and cook until the meat is no longer pink, about 10 minutes.
Step 3
Stir in the chopped onion, tomato sauce, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, cocoa powder, chili powder, cinnamon, cumin, allspice, cloves, garlic powder, sugar, salt, and pepper.
Step 4
Reduce the heat to low and let the chili simmer for 1 to 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally.
Step 5
Serve the chili over cooked spaghetti and top with shredded cheese and chopped onions if desired.
