  • 800 grams canned tomatoes
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 250 grams ground pork
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 500 grams pappardelle pasta
  • parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup red wine
  • salt
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste

Directions

Step 1
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Step 2
Add chopped onion, carrot, celery, and minced garlic. Cook until vegetables are soft.
Step 3
Add ground beef and ground pork to the pot. Cook until browned.
Step 4
Stir in tomato paste and cook for a few minutes.
Step 5
Pour in red wine, bring to a boil, and let it reduce by half.

Add crushed tomatoes and milk. Stir to combine.
Step 7
Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Step 8
Lower the heat and let the sauce simmer for about 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally.
Step 9
Cook pappardelle pasta according to package instructions.
Step 10
Drain the pasta and toss with the Bolognese sauce.
Step 11
Serve with grated Parmesan cheese on top.
