  • 480 g all-purpose flour
  • 5 g baking powder
  • 100 g confectioners' sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 200 g granulated sugar
  • 240 g shortening
  • 5 ml vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Step 2
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, granulated sugar, and baking powder.

Add the shortening and mix until the dough is crumbly.
Step 4
Stir in the vanilla extract and egg yolk until the dough comes together.
Step 5
Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet.

Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass or your hand.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned.
Step 8
Let the cookies cool completely on a wire rack.
