  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1500 ml beef broth
  • 900 g beef stew meat
  • 300 g beets
  • 30 g brown sugar
  • 200 g carrots
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 150 g onion
  • 5 g pepper
  • 400 g potatoes
  • 60 ml red wine vinegar
  • 10 g salt
  • 240 ml sour cream
  • 60 ml tomato paste

Directions

Step 1
Cut the beef stew meat into bite-sized pieces.
Step 2
Peel and chop the potatoes, beets, carrots, and onion into small cubes.
Step 3
Mince the garlic cloves.
Step 4
In a slow cooker, combine the beef, potatoes, beets, carrots, onion, and garlic.
Step 5
Add the beef broth, tomato paste, bay leaf, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker.

Stir in the red wine vinegar and brown sugar.

Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours, or until the beef and vegetables are tender.

Remove the bay leaf before serving.
