  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 4 cups corn kernels
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 4 green onion
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 onion
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Directions

Step 1
Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. Crumble and set aside.
Step 2
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and celery. Sauté until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.

Add the garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

Stir in the corn kernels and cook for 5-7 minutes until the corn is tender.

Pour in the heavy cream, and add the Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.

Stir in the crumbled bacon and sliced green onions. Cook for another 2 minutes to heat through.
