  • 2 tsp salt
  • 500 ml vegetable oil
  • 2000 ml water
  • 1000 g yuca

Directions

Step 1
Peel the yuca and cut it into sticks.

Place the yuca sticks in a pot with water and add salt.

Bring the water to a boil and cook the yuca until tender, about 20 minutes.

Drain the yuca and let it cool slightly.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.

Fry the yuca sticks in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.
Step 7
Remove the yuca from the oil and drain on paper towels.
Step 8
Season with additional salt if desired and serve hot.
