A refreshing homemade peach iced tea made with fresh peaches, perfect for a hot summer day.
Directions
Step 1
In a large saucepan, bring 500 ml of water and the sugar to a boil. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Step 2
Add the sliced peaches to the saucepan and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until the peaches are soft and fragrant.
Step 3
Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool down slightly. Blend the mixture until smooth.
Step 4
In another pot, bring the remaining 1000 ml of water to a boil. Remove from heat and steep the tea bags for 5-7 minutes.
Step 5
Remove the tea bags and combine the tea with the peach mixture. Stir well.
Step 6
Add the lemon juice and mix thoroughly. Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
Step 7
Serve over ice and garnish with peach slices and mint leaves if desired.
