  • 12 corn tortillas
  • 1 cup vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Using tongs, carefully place one corn tortilla into the oil.
Step 3
Fry the tortilla for about 10 to 15 seconds, then flip it over and fry for another 10 to 15 seconds.
Step 4
Using tongs, fold the tortilla in half while it's still frying, holding it in place to form a taco shell shape.
Step 5
Fry each side of the folded tortilla for an additional 15 to 20 seconds until it turns golden brown and crispy.
Step 6
Remove the shell from the oil and drain on paper towels.
Step 7
Repeat the process with the remaining tortillas.
