  • 190 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 230 g butter
  • 400 g caramel candies
  • 120 g chopped pecans
  • 60 ml heavy cream
  • 160 g rolled oats
  • 170 g semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, and baking soda. Stir in the melted butter until evenly moistened.
Step 3
Press half of the oat mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
Step 4
While the base is baking, melt the caramel candies and heavy cream together in a saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently until smooth.
Step 5
Remove the base from the oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans. Pour the melted caramel mixture evenly over the top.
Step 6
Crumble the remaining oat mixture over the caramel layer.
Step 7
Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 18-20 minutes, or until the top is lightly browned.
Step 8
Allow the bars to cool completely in the baking dish before cutting into squares.
