Ingredients

  • 1 bell pepper
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 4 green onions
  • 300 g lo mein noodles
  • 30 ml oyster sauce
  • 15 ml sesame oil
  • 450 g shrimp
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 30 ml vegetable oil
  • 60 ml water

Directions

Step 1
Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Step 2
In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and water. Set aside.
Step 3
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Step 4
Add the garlic and ginger to the skillet, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Step 5
Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
Step 6
In the same skillet, add the carrots and bell pepper. Stir-fry for about 3 minutes until they start to soften.
Step 7
Return the shrimp to the skillet, and add the cooked noodles. Pour the sauce over the mixture and toss to coat evenly.
Step 8
Add the green onions and continue to cook for another 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
Step 9
Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Shrimp Lo Mein.
