  • 60 g butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 900 g powdered sugar
  • 0.5 cup rum
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1
Separate the eggs, placing the yolks in one large bowl and the whites in another.
Step 2
Beat the egg whites until they form stiff peaks.
Step 3
In the bowl with the egg yolks, add the powdered sugar and beat until the mixture is thick and pale yellow.
Step 4
Add the softened butter and vanilla extract to the yolk mixture and continue to mix until well combined.
Step 5
Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the yolk mixture until fully incorporated.
Step 6
Add the rum to the batter and stir gently to combine.
Step 7
The batter is now ready to be used. To serve, add 2 tablespoons of batter to a cup and top with hot milk or rum, then stir well.
