Ingredients

  • 300 g all-purpose flour
  • 5 g black pepper
  • 500 ml buttermilk
  • 2 g cayenne pepper
  • 6 chicken pieces
  • 5 g garlic powder
  • 10 ml hot sauce
  • 5 g onion powder
  • 10 g paprika
  • 5 g salt
  • 1000 ml vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, combine buttermilk and hot sauce. Add chicken pieces and marinate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
Step 2
In another bowl, mix together flour, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
Step 3
Remove chicken from buttermilk mixture and dredge in the seasoned flour mixture, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
Step 4
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or deep fryer to 175°C (350°F).
Step 5
Fry chicken pieces in batches for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Ensure internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
Step 6
Remove chicken from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
