Ingredients

  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 200 g cooked rice
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 6 green bell peppers
  • 450 g ground beef
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 100 g shredded cheese
  • 400 g tomato sauce

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
Step 2
Cut the tops off the green bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. Rinse the peppers under cold water.
Step 3
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the meat is browned and the onion is tender. Drain any excess fat.
Step 4
Stir in the cooked rice, tomato sauce, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
Step 5
Stuff each green pepper with the beef mixture, pressing down to fill completely.
Step 6
Place the stuffed peppers in an ungreased 23x33 cm baking dish. Cover with aluminum foil.
Step 7
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
Step 8
Remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the peppers, and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 9
Serve hot and enjoy!
