Crunchy and delightful Florentine cookies made with nuts and dried fruits, perfect for a quick and tasty treat.
Directions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Step 2
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sugar, heavy cream, and honey, stirring continuously until the mixture comes to a boil.
Step 3
Remove from heat and stir in the sliced almonds, candied orange peel, and flour until evenly combined.
Step 4
Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them well apart as they will spread during baking.
Step 5
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown around the edges. Let them cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Step 6
Once the cookies are completely cooled, dip the bottom of each cookie in the melted dark chocolate and place chocolate-side-up on a parchment-lined sheet to set.
Step 7
Allow the chocolate to harden completely before serving or storing in an airtight container.
