Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cheese slices
  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 8 pickle slices
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Step 1
Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and form into loose balls.
Step 2
Heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until very hot.
Step 3
Place each beef ball in the skillet and smash down with a spatula to form thin patties.
Step 4
Season the patties with salt and black pepper.
Step 5
Cook for about 2 minutes until the edges start to brown, then flip.
Step 6
Place a cheese slice on each patty and cook for another minute until melted.
Step 7
Toast the burger buns in the skillet with some butter until golden brown.
Step 8
Assemble the burgers with pickles and any other desired toppings.
