Ingredients

  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 315 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 240 ml warm water

Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.

Sprinkle the yeast over the water and let it sit for 5-10 minutes, until the yeast is foamy.

Add the flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
Step 4
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

Preheat your oven to 250°C (475°F).

Punch down the dough and divide it into two equal portions.

Roll each portion into a thin circle, about 30 cm (12 inches) in diameter.
Step 9
Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet.

Add your desired toppings and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crispy.
