This smoked salmon sushi roll recipe combines the rich flavor of smoked salmon with creamy avocado and crunchy cucumber, all wrapped in seasoned sushi rice and nori. Perfect for sushi lovers and easy to make at home.

  • 1 avocado
  • 1 cucumber
  • 5 nori sheets
  • 0.5 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 200 grams smoked salmon
  • soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2.5 cups water

Directions

Step 1
Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
Step 2
Combine the rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to the rice cooker instructions.
Step 3
In a small saucepan, combine the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Heat over low heat until the sugar and salt are dissolved. Allow to cool.
Step 4
Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a large bowl and gently fold in the vinegar mixture. Let the rice cool to room temperature.
Step 5
Place a bamboo sushi mat on a clean surface and cover it with plastic wrap. Lay a sheet of nori, shiny side down, on the mat.
Step 6
Wet your hands with water to prevent the rice from sticking. Spread a thin, even layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving a 2 cm border at the top.
Step 7
Arrange strips of smoked salmon, cucumber, and avocado across the center of the rice.
Step 8
Using the bamboo mat, roll the sushi tightly away from you, applying gentle pressure to form a firm roll.
Step 9
Slice the roll into bite-sized pieces using a sharp knife dipped in water.
Step 10
Serve with soy sauce on the side for dipping.
