Directions
Step 1
Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Add the lamb chunks and cook until browned on all sides.

Add the chopped onion and grated carrots to the pot. Cook until the vegetables are soft.

Stir in the cumin seeds, ground coriander, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another minute.

Add the rice and garlic cloves to the pot, stirring to combine with the lamb and vegetables.

Pour in the water and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for about 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is fully cooked and the water is absorbed.

Let the pilaf stand for 10 minutes before serving.
