Ingredients

  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 480 milliliters chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 60 milliliters lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 240 grams white rice

Directions

Step 1
Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.

Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.

Add the white rice and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly to coat the rice with the oil.

Pour in the chicken broth, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.

Remove from heat and let it sit, covered, for 5 minutes.
