A decadent cheesecake combining the flavors of caramel, chocolate, and pecans to create a dessert reminiscent of turtle candies.
Directions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
Step 2
Combine the crushed chocolate wafer cookies and melted butter in a bowl, then press into the bottom of a 23 cm (9-inch) springform pan.
Step 3
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add the sour cream, eggs, and vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
Step 4
Pour half of the cheesecake batter over the crust. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter, then sprinkle with half of the chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
Step 5
Pour the remaining cheesecake batter over the toppings. Drizzle with the remaining caramel sauce and sprinkle with the remaining pecans and chocolate chips.
Step 6
Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until the center is set. Allow the cheesecake to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
