Deliciously spicy jalapeño peppers filled with a creamy cheese mixture, coated in breadcrumbs, and baked until golden brown. Perfect for appetizers or party snacks.

  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 100 g breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 100 g cheddar cheese
  • 225 g cream cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 12 jalapeño peppers
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
Step 2
Cut the jalapeño peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.
Step 3
In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Step 4
Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
Step 5
In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and melted butter.
Step 6
Dip each filled jalapeño into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
Step 7
Place the jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 8
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Step 9
Allow to cool slightly before serving.
